This policy explains what personal data Yari (yari.krd and the Yari web app) collects, why, and the choices you have. Yari is operated by Zewatec AB, Sweden, which is the data controller. Questions: [email protected].

1. Data stored on your device

To remember your language, sound and theme settings, guest game progress and similar preferences, Yari stores data in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device unless you create an account.

2. Accounts

Accounts are optional. If you create one, we use Supabase to authenticate you and to store your email address, display name, preferences, game progress, coins and purchases, and any profile picture you upload. You can also sign in with Google, in which case Google shares your basic profile information with us.

3. Payments

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.

4. Voice mode

If you turn on voice mode in KêGot and grant microphone permission, audio is recorded only while you hold the microphone button. The recording is sent to our speech-recognition service to check your answer.

5. Feedback and reports

When you report a word, song or other issue, we store the report and the details you type so that we can review and fix it. Please do not include personal information in reports.

6. Advertising and cookies

Yari is supported by advertising. Ads are shown on our content pages and, with your permission, in limited places in the games. Players with an ad-free purchase or subscription do not see ads in the games.

• Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Adsterra. In the games, with your permission, Adsterra and its partners may use cookies and browsing or device data to select and measure ads. See the Adsterra privacy policy. You can allow or stop game ads in Settings; stopping ads does not delete cookies that third parties have already set.
• You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalised ads and non-essential advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

7. Server logs

Like most websites, our servers automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use these logs to keep the service secure and working, and keep them only as long as needed for that purpose.

8. Legal bases

We process personal data to provide the service you request (for example your account and purchases), on the basis of your consent (for example personalised advertising and microphone use), and for our legitimate interest in keeping Yari secure and improving it.

9. How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data unless we must keep it by law, for example accounting records for purchases.

10. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority; in Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

11. Children

Yari is made for a general audience, including families playing together. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and adjust the date at the top.
