KêGot: the Kurdish music quiz

KêGot (roughly “who said it?”) is a team game about Kurdish songs. Each round shows lines from a song, and your team races the clock to name the singer and the song. It currently includes 354 songs in Sorani and Kurmanji, from classics to recent favourites.

Quick rules

  1. Play with 1 to 6 teams and give each team a name.
  2. Choose 5, 10, 15 or 20 rounds. One team plays each round, then turns rotate.
  3. Each round starts at 10 points with a 60-second timer.
  4. Points drop by 1 every 6 seconds. Each extra hint costs 1 point (up to 2 extra hints).
  5. Reveal the singer and song, then mark the attempt as correct or wrong.
  6. A correct answer adds the remaining points to the team’s score; a wrong answer adds nothing. The highest score after the final round wins.

Choosing songs: Sorani, Kurmanji or both

Before starting, choose which songs to include: Sorani, Kurmanji or a mix. You can also choose which script the lyric lines are shown in. Unsure about the difference? Read Kurmanji and Sorani explained.

Voice mode

Instead of marking answers yourself, you can turn on voice mode. Hold the microphone button, say your guess, and release it to check. Your browser will ask for permission to use the microphone; audio is only recorded while you hold the button.
